- Centro Ricerche Enrico Fermi

Presentation of the INFN Rome Cosmic Ray Detector “Spark Chamber”

Locandina dell'evento

Raggi Cosmici attraverso Roma – Passato e presente a Via Panisperna (Cosmic Rays through Rome – Past and Present at Via Panisperna) is an event organized by CREF, the INFN Rome Section, and INAF.

The historic building in Via Panisperna opened its doors to the public to showcase how the story of cosmic rays is intertwined with that of the city of Rome. The event featured as its guest of honor a Spark Chamber—a detector that makes it possible to visualize the trajectories of cosmic particles in real time—graciously loaned for the occasion by INFN.

The program included talks by Davide Pinci (INFN), Fabrizio Vitali (INAF), and Marco Garbini (CREF).
