The research

The EEE Project telescopes consist of three Multigap Resistive Plate Chambers (MRPCs), capable of reconstructing muon tracks with a spatial resolution of the order of one square centimeter and a time resolution of approximately 200 ps

Each telescope is also equipped with a GPS receiver that provides an absolute time reference. This makes it possible both to correlate events recorded by different telescopes within the EEE network and to compare measurements with external phenomena of scientific interest, such as solar events and atmospheric effects.

The acquired data are automatically transferred to the INFN CNAF Computing Centre in Bologna, where they undergo automated analysis and quality-control procedures. This enables real-time monitoring of the status and performance of the EEE network through the Data Quality Monitor system.

This page provides access to the software tools used by the EEE Collaboration, as well as by the teachers and students participating in the project. The EEE Project Software package includes the Data Acquisition (DAQ) program and a set of applications dedicated to telescope configuration, monitoring, and debugging. The latest software releases are available, together with access to the archive of previous versions.

Software for the Oregon Scientific Weather Station

The Oregon Scientific WMR88A weather station comes with an installation CD (including license) that is no longer compatible with Windows 8.1. To get the compatible version, contact the local EEE responsible; the original registration code is still required.
