7th Run Coordination Meeting

- Zoom

Talk by the Corradino d’Ascanio High School on the development of an automated data acquisition system using the Cosmic Box, and a presentation by Dr. Antonio Leo on the relationship between Superconductivity and Particle Physics.

Run Coordination Meetings are monthly online events involving hundreds of students connecting from all over Italy.

During this RCM, the Corradino d’Ascanio High School in Montesilvano presents a talk describing how they developed a project focused on creating an automated system for data collection from a Cosmic Box. On this occasion, the students from Montesilvano were also hosted by the IIS Amedeo d’Aosta in L’Aquila for the “handover” of the Cosmic Box, creating an important opportunity for exchange and collaboration among schools in the EEE Project—just like a real research team!

The meeting is further enriched by a contribution from researcher Antonio Leo of the SPIN Institute of the National Research Council (CNR), an expert in electrical properties of materials and thermal transport.

His talk focuses on the physical mechanisms underlying superconductivity and how these can contribute to advances in particle physics research.
