The 14th edition of the CRIS-MAC Conference (Cosmic-Ray International Studies and Multi-messenger Astroparticle Conference) is being held in Sorrento, Italy, from 13 to 17 July 2026. The event is jointly organized by the Departments of Physics of the University of Naples Federico II, the University of Catania, and the University of Palermo, together with the INFN Sections of Naples and Catania.
Continuing the tradition of the long-running CRIS conference series, CRIS-MAC focuses on the fundamental topics of astroparticle physics, with particular emphasis on multi-messenger astronomy, an approach that combines observations of cosmic rays, gamma rays, astrophysical neutrinos, gravitational waves, and electromagnetic emissions from the Universe.
Researchers from the EEE (Extreme Energy Events) Collaboration, Cristina Ripoli from the University of Salerno and Marika Rasà from the University of Catania, are participating in the conference with scientific contributions. Cristina Ripoli presents a poster and a talk entitled “Investigation of the Diurnal Variation of the Cosmic Ray Flux with the POLA-R Detectors of the Extreme Energy Events Project” and “The 2025 PolarquEEEst Mission: Measuring Cosmic Rays from Italy to Norway with the Involvement of Students Along the Route”, respectively. Marika Rasà presents a poster entitled “Latitude Dependence of Forbush Events Observed with the Detectors of the Extreme Energy Events Project.”
