From 30 July to 5 August, Cristina Ripoli (University of Salerno), a researcher within the EEE Collaboration, took part in the 43rd International Conference on High Energy Physics (ICHEP), organized by the International Union of Pure and Applied Physics (IUPAP). This year, the conference was held in Natal, Brazil, and represents the world’s leading event in high-energy physics, where the most significant results in the field are presented.
The EEE Collaboration contributed with two oral presentations. The first, entitled “Latitude dependence of Forbush events observed with the detectors of the Extreme Energy Events Project” and focused on the study of the cosmic-ray flux at polar latitudes. The second highlighted the extensive outreach and educational activities that have always been a distinctive feature of the EEE Project; the presentation was entitled “The 2025 PolarquEEEst mission: measuring cosmic rays from Italy to Norway with the involvement of students along the route.”
As one of the most important events in the field of high-energy physics research, ICHEP provided a valuable opportunity for the EEE Project to showcase its scientific achievements and educational impact, further confirming its significance both as a research initiative and as a training and outreach program.
