International Cosmic Day 2025

- Roma

The ICD (International Cosmic Day) is the annual event dedicated to the in-depth study of cosmic rays.

The International Cosmic Day (ICD) is the annual event dedicated to deepening the study of cosmic rays.

This international initiative, organized by the Deutsches Elektronen-Synchrotron (DESY) in Hamburg, offers students and teachers from all over the world the opportunity to exchange experiences and research results.

This year as well, the EEE Project will take part in the ICD on November 13, 2025, in conjunction with the in-person meeting with schools held at CREF.

In particular, students will conduct an analysis using data collected by the POLA-02 detector during the mission aboard the training ship Amerigo Vespucci in the autumn of 2022. The analysis will focus on studying the variation in cosmic ray flux as a function of latitude and will serve as preparatory work for the masterclass to be held during the in-person meeting at CREF.
