On Wednesday, June 8, 2016, at IISS Staffa in Trinitapoli, teachers and students worked side by side to improve the performance of the EEE Project Telescope. The top chamber was opened to check the strip connections, and after necessary checks, the reconstructed cosmic muon track rate is expected to increase by 25%.

Students enthusiastically participated, thoroughly cleaning the laboratory for a dust-free opening, personally opening and closing the chamber, and assisting in every strip connection verification step, guided by Prof. Giacomo di Staso and Prof. Margherita Lafata. The operations lasted several hours, with the gracious presence of Principal Prof. Cosimo Strazzeri, a longtime supporter of the EEE Project.

IISS Staffa is located in the smallest municipality hosting an EEE telescope, inaugurated on May 31, 2012, in the presence of Prof. A. Zichichi.
